This example is a short upper-elementary warm-up before a water-cycle lesson. The eight words mix familiar places with VAPOR, a term students may need to discuss. Finding a word practices recognition and spelling; it does not demonstrate that a student understands evaporation or condensation. Follow the puzzle with an explanation task so the vocabulary connects to the science.

If a word is missing, ask for a larger grid or a shorter list, then review the new preview rather than assuming the first result is complete.
Make it fit your class
For students who need support, read the words aloud first and let them circle familiar words before searching. For an extension, ask students to pick three found words and explain how they connect in the water cycle. An example answer might connect SUN, WATER, and VAPOR through evaporation. Do not treat a quickly completed grid as evidence that every student can explain that relationship.
Print after checking
